Primus Studios

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Gridlock Neon collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the game and its online services.

Effective August 17, 2026

Overview

Gridlock Neon is developed and published by Primus Studios. The game can be played locally, while optional online features such as leaderboards, platform identity, purchase verification, and purchase restoration require information to be transmitted off your device.

Gridlock Neon may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners. Advertising helps support the free version of the game. We do not sell personal information for money, but advertising partners may process information as described below to deliver, measure, secure, and limit ads.

Information we collect

Player profile and identifiers

We may collect a randomly generated player identifier, your chosen display name, selected leaderboard cosmetics, supporter entitlement level, and related profile settings. Your display name and leaderboard cosmetics may be visible publicly on leaderboards.

Gameplay and leaderboard information

When online features are enabled, we may collect game mode, score, move count, daily challenge date, server-issued run identifiers and seeds, score-validation data, leaderboard rank, and timestamps. This information is used to validate runs, prevent manipulation, calculate rankings, and display leaderboards.

Platform identity

If you connect through Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, we may receive a platform-specific player identifier and short-lived authentication proof needed to verify your identity. We do not receive your Apple or Google password. Apple and Google process information under their own privacy policies.

Purchases

For supporter tiers, skins, and other permanent in-app purchases, we may process product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase tokens or signed transaction evidence, purchase status, platform, and entitlement history. Apple or Google processes the payment itself; Primus Studios does not receive your full payment-card details.

Technical information

Our servers and hosting providers may process IP address, request timestamp, network and error information, and basic device or application information supplied with a request. We use this information to operate, secure, diagnose, and protect the service.

Advertising information

Advertising partners may automatically process your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device type, operating system, language, general region inferred from IP address, app version, ad impressions, ad clicks, ad-view duration, and information about interactions with advertisements. Depending on your consent, device settings, age, and location, this information may be used to provide personalized or non-personalized ads, measure advertising performance, prevent fraud, and limit how often an ad is shown.

Gridlock Neon does not request precise GPS location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or payment-card details for advertising.

Information stored locally

Settings such as music, sound effects, haptics, enabled tracks, local best scores, and other game preferences may be stored on your device. Information that remains only on your device is not collected by Primus Studios unless it is later sent as part of an online feature described above.

Advertising and consent

Where required, Gridlock Neon or its advertising partners will request consent before using an advertising identifier or information for personalized advertising. If consent is not provided, the game may still show contextual or non-personalized advertisements.

On iOS, you can manage tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and device privacy settings. On Android, you can manage or reset advertising controls through your Google and device settings. Additional consent or privacy controls may be presented in the game where required by law.

Advertising partners operate under their own privacy policies and may retain information according to those policies. The current advertising provider list and links to partner privacy information will be maintained in this policy when advertising SDKs are enabled in a public build.

How we use information

  • Provide local and online game functionality.
  • Register and authenticate players for online services.
  • Validate runs, maintain leaderboards, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Verify purchases, restore entitlements, and handle refunds or revocations.
  • Save and display player-selected names and cosmetics.
  • Maintain security, troubleshoot failures, and improve service reliability.
  • Display, personalize where permitted, measure, and secure advertisements.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information for monetary payment. Some privacy laws may define certain disclosures for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing." Where those laws apply, we will provide the required notice and opt-out controls. We may otherwise disclose limited information in these circumstances:

  • Public leaderboards: display name, score, move count, rank, badge, supporter styling, and selected public cosmetics.
  • Platform providers: Apple and Google for authentication, store purchases, restoration, and platform services.
  • Advertising partners: ad identifiers, device information, approximate region, and ad-interaction information needed to provide, measure, personalize where permitted, and protect advertisements.
  • Service providers: hosting, database, security, and infrastructure providers acting for us under appropriate obligations.
  • Legal and safety: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or secure the service.
  • Business changes: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.

Retention and deletion

We retain profile and validated leaderboard information while needed to provide the service. Purchase and entitlement records may be retained for restoration, fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, and dispute handling. Operational logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security and reliability. Advertising partners may retain advertising and measurement information under their own retention policies.

You may request deletion of server-side player information by following our account deletion instructions. We may retain limited information when required by law, to complete transactions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce agreements. Removing the app deletes locally stored game data according to your device platform's behavior.

Delete your account

Visit the Gridlock Neon account deletion page to request deletion of your account and associated server-side data.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, including encrypted network connections for production online services. No system can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries where Primus Studios or its service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

Your choices and rights

You can play offline by disabling online functionality where available, change your display name and public cosmetics in the game, manage platform and advertising permissions through Apple, Google, or your device settings, and request access to or deletion of server-side information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, opt out of certain targeted advertising, or object to certain processing.

Purchase history and refunds are also subject to the rules and controls provided by the App Store or Google Play.

Children's privacy

Gridlock Neon is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law for use of online services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the game, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
